Every year, the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Urology selects the best original articles published in the journal and awards their first authors a certificate and plaque at the IJU Evening during the Annual Meeting of the Urological Society of India (USI).

Dr. Pankaj Maheshwari

Dr. Pankaj N Maheshwari is a senior consultant and the Chief of Urology at Fortis Hospital Mulund, Mumbai. He has been a pioneer in the use of holmium lasers in India. He trained in holmium laser enucleation of prostate with Dr. Peter Gilling in New Zealand. He has 65 publications in urology journals and was a co-editor of “Atlas of Endourology” published by USI. He has also authored six chapters in different urology books. He is a member of the editorial committee of the Indian Journal of Urology and is on the reviewers' panel of more than 20 national and international urology journals. He is the Treasurer-Elect of USI, the Former Treasurer of West Zone-USI, and a past president of Lions International.
Dr. Vijay Madduri

Dr. Vijay Kumar Sarma Madduri is a consultant urologist at Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology, Hyderabad. He served on the USI committee on framing national guidelines on Urinary Incontinence and authored a chapter titled “Controversies in diagnosis of Bladder Outlet Obstruction in Women: A Urodynamic Perspective” in the book “Female Bladder Outlet Obstruction and Urethral Reconstruction” published by Springer.
